Complaints and Appeals
Last updated 19 October 2026
Qualitas Occupational Consulting is a SANAS-accredited inspection body (ISO/IEC 17020) and an Approved Inspection Authority registered with the Department of Employment and Labour. If you are unhappy with our service, or would like us to reconsider part of one of our reports, tell us. Every complaint and appeal is recorded, looked into and answered in writing.
Complaint or appeal?
A complaint is when you are unhappy with our service: for example, how we communicated, how long the work took, how we conducted ourselves on site, or the quality of a report.
An appeal is when you would like changes to the recommended actions or the statement of conformance in one of our reports.
How to raise a complaint or appeal
Use the form below, email christo@qualitasoc.com, or phone 082 649 6599. Tell us your name, company and contact details, the report or quotation number, the site and date of the assessment, what happened and the outcome you would like. An appeal must include the report number.
We do not accept anonymous complaints or appeals, because we need to look into the specific work and reply to you.
What happens next
1. We acknowledge receipt in writing within 48 hours.
2. We confirm whether it relates to our inspection work and record it.
3. We gather the information we need and investigate. For an appeal, we review the recommended actions or statement of conformance afresh against the original records, sampling results and calibration data.
4. We tell you the outcome, the reasons for it and any corrective action, in writing.
Simple matters are resolved quickly. A complex complaint or appeal can take up to six months, so we send you a progress update at least every 30 days until it is closed.
Fair treatment
Raising a complaint or appeal never affects how we treat you or any future work we do for you.
Confidentiality
What you tell us is used only to handle the matter and is kept confidential, in line with ISO/IEC 17020 and our Privacy Policy.
Not satisfied with the outcome?
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your complaint or appeal, you can raise it with the Department of Employment and Labour, which approves Qualitas as an Approved Inspection Authority.
